Why Choose Clean Fuels National?

We’ve all heard the expression, “If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing well,” and that’s something we take very seriously.

We stand behind our work, 100%.

That’s why we don’t charge extra if we spend a couple extra hours working on a tank – we want to make sure it’s done right. If something goes wrong, we come back and fix it, on the house.

Another saying you may have heard is, “A man is only as good as his word.” When we agree to do a job, we make sure it gets done.

Part of how we ensure the quality of our work is by checking and rechecking our results.

The easiest way to sample the fuel is at the fill. This is the access that many tank cleaning companies will use when getting their simple to show their before and afters. The easy way is often not the best way, unfortunately. Everything may look great in that sample from the fill. Case in point, three fill samples taken from three different tanks.

You can see a little bit of particulate in these samples, nothing that bad. No need to panic, right? If you’re just interested in getting in and out, and getting paid, a fill sample is the easiest – and least reliable – way to get a clear sample. That’s why Clean Fuels National doesn’t rely on fill samples.

Fill samples are a misleading representation of the health of your fuel supply and your tank interior.

Here’s why: Your UST isn’t level. The tank has a high end and a low end. That high end is more often the not the fill. Debris, water, particulate – they all settle at the low point in the tank (ie, anywhere but the fill). The fill will test clean first, but to really guarantee a clean tank and a clear product, you have to delve deeper.

Those fill samples above? Here are the samples taken from the ATG access on those very same tanks, on the same day.

These samples tell a very different story.

Now you’ve gotten a more realistic insight into the interior of the tanks.

The fill is the easiest – and least reliable way – to get a fuel sample. So, you had your tanks cleaned. But, are they actually clean? Clean Fuels National goes the extra mile to make sure. We always stand behind our work – and this is an example of why we feel confident saying that. We take extra steps to make sure we continue to earn our reputation – as the premier choice in helping fuel retailers protect their reputation.
